Mustard Seed Preschool Grand Opening |
by Dannielle Nogaliza What a beautiful day the Lord had made for our Mustard Seed Preschool Grand Opening! We had visitors from our community, as well as church members and parents come and share this historic event with us.
What a joy it was to watch and hear the children sing the 3 songs of their choice on stage (“Welcome song”, “Slippery Fish” and “Jesus Loves Me”. Praise God for bringing them to our preschool where they are able to begin walking with their Lord in such an early age. The rest of the afternoon was spent fellowshipping with one another as the children toured their parents around their preschool. Thanks to the board and church members, we had raffles, refreshments and a coffee bar which just added to the joy and laughter in the environment. I truly praise God for this ministry where we are able to help the community by providing child care, and especially by praying and sharing God’s Word with the children and their families. What an AWESOME God we serve!

Celebrate! Jr. High Outing |
by Dannielle Nogaliza “Life Hurts, God Heals” was the series that the Jr. Highers completed in the beginning of June. Such a blessing to see them dig deep, and truly face the hurts and hang ups that have been hindering them from moving forward, and building a stronger relationship with God.
It was so encouraging to see their great desire to make it “right” with God, and to live a life that is pleasing to Him. There were tears and laughter, apologies and forgiveness. We pray that the Lord will protect these kids from the work of the enemy, and continue to mold them to be servants of the Lord. Soooo… to celebrate this awesome study that the Lord had blessed us with, we had our Jr. High Outing at Kentwig Bowling Alley! We pretty much had the place all to ourselves which was GREAT! The children had fun cheering each other on, and enjoyed relaxing fellowship the whole evening. Praise God for this Jr. High ministry! God is GOOD!! |

Sun Drenched Picnic At Drake’s Beach |
by Pastor Reuel What would Memorial Day be without oysters at Drakes Bay? This favorite annual tradition was once again observed by our church as we converged on our preferred site, a grassy patch at the edge of the parking lot, away from the beach and surrounded by wind protecting foliage. The usual tents, chairs, tables and grills began to appear, and soon the wonderful smell of barbeque wafted through the air and mingled with the fresh sea breeze. As the day progressed more and more friends arrived and began to contribute their special cuisines in addition to the freshly shucked oysters. One was free to pick from a smorgasbord of food fit for a king. New this year was a café station manned by pastor Reuel offering Peet’s coffee, an assortment of teas, and three types of hot chocolate. We can’t wait for next year’s edition. |

Fun Fellowship At Giants v. A’s Game |
by Pastor Reuel Over 100 church members and friends made the trek to the Oakland Coliseum on a clear windy evening to watch the continuing baseball saga of the Battle of the Bay. Before the game, we joined the throng of tailgaters in the parking lot decked out in our favorite A’s and Giants regalia. One can hear the usual friendly banter extolling the virtues of each respective team as we feasted on hot dogs, hamburgers and tri-tip. After heading into the Coliseum the “trash talking” notched up a level as the first pitch was tossed. The A’s scored first and never looked back as they won the game handily with a score of 7-1. Our church name was flashed on the scoreboard during the seventh inning. Overall it was a fun time watching our favorite teams and enjoying the fellowship of fellow brothers and sisters in the Lord. |

Pista Sa Nayon |
by Pastor Bob Asercion For the last 3 years, Faith Bible Church of Vallejo has participated in Pista sa Nayon to celebrate our home country’s Independence Day and promote the Philippine culture in the City of Vallejo. We have witnessed the crowd grow from 30,000 people to this year’s 45,000 in attendance. For three consecutive years we had our own Faith Bible Church of Vallejo booth to pass out Christian tracts, provide information to the community about our church and Sunday services, Celebrate Recovery, Mustard Seed Pre-school and other ministries. We praise God that through this event we have greeted and met old and new friends, gained new friendships and members in the church, received donations for the church and met with new parents who are now sending their children to our Mustard Seed Pre-school. |
