Family Camp 2012 – “Enjoying Christian Fellowship” E-mail

by Chris De Rosas, Jr.

ImageThank you heavenly Father for blessing us with another successful family camp. We left Thursday morning, June 28, and drove north for 2 hours until we arrived at Rollins Lake in Colfax, CA. Everyone set up camp and settled in. The church even provided dinner on our first night. We had tri tip, ribs, links, and chicken. We were in for a great weekend. Friday was beautiful and the weather was hot. No better way to stay cool than the lake. Boating, jet skiing, wake boarding, swimming, kayaking, and fishing were just some of the things you could do. Then there were those who chose to just lounge in the shade. But there was one activity that every camper could enjoy - EATING. I was invited to eat at many other camp sites and the variety of offerings was amazing. It was good to be the Director. Every evening, every camp site built camp fires, and the campers sat fellowshipping with one another. We were blessed to have Pastor Bert Pagmanua as our camp speaker. He spoke three times on the topic, “Enjoying Christian Fellowship.” We learned much through the well prepared lessons and interesting stories. Unique in this camp is the outdoor setting for the messages. It was a joy to sing praise songs and listen to God’s word underneath the shade of towering pine trees overlooking a beautiful lake. Saturday was just more of the same. Great weather, fellowship, and did I mention the food. The children participated in arts and crafts class in the morning. And, in the afternoon, was an ice cream social for everyone. In the evening we closed the last session with a testimony time and were encouraged by the sharing of many first time campers. We were truly blessed to be able to fellowship with other brothers and sisters surrounded by God's beautiful creation. I can't wait until next year. All glory be to God.

Vacation Bible School E-mail

 by Ryan Nishimoto

ImageThis year’s vacation bible school brought us to Promise Island. Our adventures on Promise Island taught us about five promises from God. These promises were that God promises to always be with us, promises to care for us, promises to provide for us, promises to save us, and promises to answer our prayers. With the assistance of over 25 volunteers per day and God’s guidance, wisdom and provisions Promise Island provided dinner, games, preschool and elementary school bible class, arts-n-crafts, high school and middle school bible class and an adult bible class for an entire week. Vacation Bible School is not just for the students to learn God’s Word, but also an opportunity to serve God’s people. I praise God for leading so many volunteers to this ministry year after year. ImageIt has been a blessing to see so many students grow up and graduate from class to class every year to the point where they become ministry volunteers within the Church. Seeing such spiritual growth and maturity makes it worth growing older every year to witness. Please pray for the first time visitors who were in attendance. Also pray for those who were saved. Glory be to God! Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

2012 Graduates E-mail

by Lani Pagmanua

ImageJunior High: Michaela Ebuen, Aubrie Calica, Rebecca Philips, Tiana De Rosas, Noe Guevara, Daniel Favenir.

High School: Jeremiah Guevara, Meynard Villiante, Renz Carino, Jed Mallari, Rachel Kagawan, Kristin Arenas

College: Michael Kagawan, Andrew Omila, Francis Omila, Melissa Lo, Omar Bautista, Mico Arenas, Aaron Valenzuela

Congratulations to all of our Graduates of 2012! What an honor and privilege to accomplish a milestone in each of their lives! We praise God for his guidance and strength in helping each of our young people accomplish their goals. For some, they are just a step further in achieving their goals. For some, they have already reached their goals and can now become who God wants them to be and can finally do what he has purposed in their lives. All of our graduates have been gifted by God in many special ways. Now it's their turn to give back to God and become his ambassadors wherever he may lead them. As Pastor Reuel prayed and dedicated each graduate, we were all reminded that the greatest "graduation" we should be anticipating would be the day when we all "graduate" into the presence of our loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
